OLAWAEPO-HASHIM INAUGURATES 21 LGA CAMPAIGN COORDINATORS IN KOGI, CHARGES THEM TO RESCUE NIGERIA FROM POVERTY TO PROSPERITY

… Accord Party Says 2027 Is About Grassroots Mobilization and National Renewal,.
LOKOJA — The Presidential Candidate of the Accord Party, Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, on Saturday inaugurated 21 Local Government Area Campaign Coordinators for Kogi State, with a clear mandate to drive a grassroots movement aimed at rescuing Nigeria from poverty to prosperity.
The inauguration, held in Lokoja, marks the formal commencement of the party’s nationwide grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections in the State.
Speaking at the event, the Spokesperson of the Coordinators, Aguba Julius, Coordinator, Omala LGA, described Dr. Olawepo-Hashim as a departure from the old brigade of politicians who, he said, have held the country backwards for decades.
“Dr. Olawepo-Hashim represents a new thinking, a new energy, and a new direction for Nigeria. The Coordinators appointed across the 21 LGAs of Kogi are tested grassroots mobilizers. If we work together and in one accord, we are confident of a clean sweep for the Accord Party,” Atabor stated.
He lamented the current state of the nation, noting that Nigerians have never faced the kind of economic hardship, insecurity and governance failure being experienced under the APC administration.
“Never has Nigeria gone through this harrowing experience. Insecurity has become the bane of our nation. The promise of good governance has been betrayed. But Nigerians are watching, and they are waiting for the Accord Party to rescue the country from total collapse,” he said.
Aguba assured that the LGA coordinators would be galvanized for optimum performance, stressing that the task ahead is achievable if the party remains focused and united at the grassroots.
The Kogi structure is expected to serve as a template for the Accord Party’s national mobilization strategy, with emphasis on direct engagement with voters, issue-based campaigns, and community-driven solutions to poverty, unemployment and insecurity.
Dr. Olawepo-Hashim, in his charge to the coordinators through Gambo Usman, urged them to see their appointment as a call to service. He said the 2027 election must be about ideas, competence and the urgent need to move Nigeria from poverty to prosperity.
The Accord Party leadership in Kogi expressed optimism that with the new structure in place, the party will present a credible alternative and offer Nigerians the leadership required to rebuild trust in governance.
