The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sen. Sunday Karimi, has expressed grief over the sudden passing of Hon. Oyewole Mayowa Solomon, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ijumu Local Government Area.
In a condolence message issued on Thursday, Sen. Karimi said he received the news of Hon. Solomon’s death with profound shock and sorrow.
The lawmaker described the late party leader as a devoted APC chieftain whose loyalty and commitment to the party’s progress in Ijumu and across Kogi State were unshaken.
Beyond politics, Sen. Karimi noted that the deceased was more than a party man — he was a dependable ally, a brother and a friend whose warmth, humility and dedication to service endeared him to many.
“Hon. Mayowa Solomon was a pillar of the APC in Ijumu. He worked tirelessly to strengthen our party at the grassroots and to ensure unity among members. His sudden exit has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill,” the Senator stated.
Sen. Karimi extended his heartfelt sympathies to the immediate family of the deceased, the entire APC family in Ijumu LGA, and the Kogi State leadership of the party.
He prayed to God to grant the departed eternal rest and to give the family, friends, and political associates the strength to bear the painful loss.
The Senator also urged party members in Ijumu to take solace in the legacies of commitment and service left behind by the late chairman.
