KGSHIA Boss calls for partnership with Kogi NIPR

The Executive Secretary of Kogi State Health Insurance Agency (KGSHIA), Dr Adekunle Aledare has called on the leadership of the Kogi State Chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) to partner with the Agency to market the benefits of health insurance among Kogi State residents.
Dr Aledare made the call when the Executive members of the Kogi State Chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations led by its Chairman, Ismaila Isah paid an advocacy visit to the Executive Secretary in his office in Lokoja.
The Executive Secretary said in the last six years the Agency has enrolled over two hundred thousand residents of the state into the health insurance plan. He maintained that more Kogi State indigines still needed to be enrolled into the plan to enable them access quality health care.
The Executive Secretary also said health insurance has reduced out of pocket expenditure on health care in the state and urged the members of NIPR to collaborate with the Agency in marketing her health insurance plans.
In his response, the chairman of the Kogi State chapter of NIPR, who doubles as Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah applauded the Executive Secretary on his resilience in promoting health insurance to every home in Kogi State.
Isah noted that the achievements of the Dr Aledare far outweigh the number of years he has spent in office adding that the state NIPR would partner the Agency in promoting its activities among the residents of Kogi State.
The NIPR Chairman also said, members of the institute are prepared to offer their wealth of experience in promoting the activities of the Agency in the state. He thanked the Executive Secretary for the warm reception accorded his members in his office.
In a vote of thanks the Permanent member of the Board of the Agency, Hon. Jacob Abrahams said Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is doing his best in improving health care delivery system in the state. He urged the executive members of NIPR to always work with the Agency to spread the workings of the Agency in the state.
