KOSU VC Honoured with Rotary Paul Harris Fellow Award

The Vice-Chancellor of Kogi State University, Kabba, Professor K.I.T. Eniola fNSM, FRA, AEC, was honoured yesterday with the prestigious Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) Award by the Rotary Club of Lokoja Metro. The conferment took place on Saturday, 8th August, 2026, during the Investiture Ceremony of the 19th President of the club. The award recognizes Professor Eniola’s exemplary leadership in higher education, his invaluable contributions to academic excellence, human capital development, and his commitment to humanitarian and community service.
Speaking after receiving the award, Professor Eniola expressed appreciation to the Board of Directors and entire membership of Rotary Club of Lokoja Metro for the recognition. He described the honour as both humbling and motivating, stressing that true leadership in the university system must translate to tangible impact in society. He reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the ideals of service, excellence, and integrity that Rotary stands for.
The VC also used the occasion to make the pledge to ensure that the Rotary Club Kabba takes off fully and delivers on its mandate. According to him, the charter would expand transformative humanitarian services in the western senatorial district, particularly in Okun axis.
Members of the Rotary Club of Lokoja Metro commended Professor Eniola for his visionary leadership and community-focused approach. The Paul Harris Fellow recognition is Rotary International’s highest honour to individuals who demonstrate outstanding service. The event was attended by Rotarians, academics, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders from across Kogi State.
