AAS CAMPAIGN ORGANISATION
STATEMENT ON FALSE ALLEGATION AGAINST QS AMINU ABUBAKAR SULEIMAN FNIQS

The attention of the AAS Campaign Organisation has been drawn to a publication attributed to the “Concerned Kogi East Elites Forum” in which it was alleged that the ADC Kogi East Senatorial Candidate, QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, FNIQS, financially induced Alhaji Hassan Yakubu Enape.
*We state unequivocally that this allegation is false.*
QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman neither offered nor provided any financial inducement to Alhaji Hassan Yakubu Enape.
It is concerning that such an unsubstantiated allegation would be introduced into an already sensitive political environment at a time when the people of Kogi East should be encouraged to engage one another peacefully and constructively on the choices before them.
The Campaign Organisation will not be drawn into the other allegations, disagreements or political activities attributed to individuals in the publication. Those matters are for the persons concerned to address.
Our concern is solely to correct the false allegation made against our candidate and to caution against unsubstantiated claims capable of creating unnecessary suspicion or division among our people.
QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman remains committed to a peaceful, respectful and issue-based campaign founded on competence, credible representation and the unity of Kogi East.
We encourage all political actors, organisations and media platforms to exercise responsibility during this election season and to ensure that serious allegations presented as facts are supported by verifiable evidence.
Kogi East deserves a contest of ideas, records and capacity not misinformation and division.
