Medical And Health Workers Union Of Nigeria Confers Award Of Leadership Legacy On Special Adviser On Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka

The Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, North Central Zone has conferred an Award of Leadership Legacy on the Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade (Chief) Onuh Edoka.

The award was conferred on Comrade Edoka at the North Central Zonal meeting of the Union held at Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Presenting the award, the national Vice President of the zone, Comrade Murtala Seid Olayinka said the award was in recognition of his commitment and support to the zone as well as enhancing unity among the zone.
According to him, Comrade Onuh Edoka has continued to support the Union even though he is no longer within the system, describing such cooperation and support as rare in the present dispensation.
The National Vice President praised the Special Adviser for being a worthy ambassador of the Medical and Health Workers Union, assuring that the leadership of the union will continue to recognise excellence in service delivery.
He congratulated Comrade Edoka on his positive contributions to the governance of Kogi State, using his office as Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour matters.
“We are in touch with our people, we know all that is going on in Kogi State and we are happy to note that the industrial harmony being witnessed in Kogi State presently is the handiwork of Comrade Onuh Edoka, we are proud that he is doing well, so we have to offer him this award for his consistent support to the union”, he remarked.
Receiving the award on behalf of Comrade Onuh Edoka, the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Kogi State who also doubles as the Chairman, Medical and Health Workers Union, Comrade Amari Gabriel noted that the award was a greater call to service.
Comrade Edoka expressed appreciation to the Union leadership for the honour, explaining that it was in his genes to always add value to the lives of the people and organisations he served.
He dedicated the award to the Chief servant of Kogi State whom he noted, has created the enabling environment for the office to function efficiently.
