A 2027 PDP Candidate for Kabba/Bunu Constituency 1, Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Prince Oluwakayode Emmanuel Eseyin, popularly known as “K12DNEXT OMO ‘ARA”, has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for what he described as “outstanding leadership and decisive action” in the area of security across Kogi State.
Hon. Eseyin gave the commendation in Lokoja on Tuesday while reacting to the rescue and handover of the abducted Principal, a NECO official and two students of Government Secondary School, Olowa-Agbajo, Dekina LGA to Governor Ododo at the Government House. The victims were kidnapped by gunmen but were rescued alive in less than 24 hours through a coordinated operation by security agencies.
The Kabba/Bunu PDP hopeful said the swift response of the Governor shows that security of lives and property remains a top priority of the Ododo administration.
“Governor Ododo has proven again that he is a leader who acts, not one who gives excuses. The moment the unfortunate news broke, he put everything else aside and immediately mobilized security agencies for a search-and-rescue operation,” Eseyin said. “If it were in some other states, they would probably be giving political excuses for why they could not act immediately. Some would say they were waiting for orders from above. Others would claim they were waiting for directives from the President. But not Gov. Ododo.”
He described the Governor as “the Governor in Nigeria who does what he says and says what he does in terms of security.” Hon. Eseyin also lauded the security measures put in place by the state government in Kabba-Bunu LGA and other parts of the state, noting that criminal elements have found it difficult to operate due to proactive policing and community engagement.
“Security goes beyond political party affiliation. What matters now is the safety of our people. From Kabba-Bunu to Dekina, we are seeing a government that is present and responsive,” he added.
Expressing gratitude to God and security agencies for the safe return of the victims, the PDP candidate said the rescue was a testament to divine backing and good governance. “He who values the lives of others will have his own life preserved. Our God is not a liar. He has promised to bless those who stand with the downtrodden, the weak, the oppressed, and those held in captivity,” he stated.
Hon. Eseyin urged political leaders across party lines to support Governor Ododo’s security architecture, stressing that the fight against kidnapping, banditry and other crimes requires unity. He further pledged that if elected in 2027, he will work with the Executive to deepen security, youth empowerment and rural development in Kabba-Bunu Constituency 1.
The handover of the rescued victims at Government House was attended by top government officials, security chiefs, and stakeholders from Dekina LGA. The incident has continued to draw commendations for the Ododo administration’s rapid response model, which has become a reference point in North Central security management.
