Lokoja, July 21, 2026 – The APC youths in Yagba Federal Constituency and Kogi West Senatorial District have congratulated Hon. Leke Joseph Abejide and Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi on their emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates for Yagba Federal Constituency and Kogi West Senatorial District respectively ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
In a statement signed by the APC Zonal Youth Leader, Hon. Segun Arogbonlo, and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Tuesday, the youths described the confirmation of the two leaders by the APC National Leadership and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a reward for their sterling track record and commitment to service.
“We heartily congratulate our visionary leaders, Hon. Leke Abejide and Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, on your well-deserved emergence as flag bearers of our great party for the 2027 General Elections,” the statement said.
Hon. Arogbonlo noted that the victory is a testament to the overwhelming trust reposed in both leaders by the people of Yagba and Kogi West.
The Zonal Youth Leader also commended the APC National Working Committee, the Kogi State Chapter, and all organs of the party for ensuring a transparent, peaceful, and credible primary election process.
“The level playing ground provided has further strengthened internal democracy within our party and has produced candidates with proven capacity, acceptability, and grassroots appeal.
“This is democracy at work, and APC has once again set the standard,” he stated.
Hon. Arogbonlo assured both candidates of the total and grassroots-driven support of Yagba and Kogi West youths.
“Yagba and Kogi West youths are the backbone of mobilization, innovation, and victory.
“We will work day and night to ensure resounding victories for you, for all APC candidates at every level, and for our visionary President, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in the January and February 2027 General Elections,” he said.
He added that the emergence of Hon. Abejide and Senator Karimi signals continuity of effective representation, people-focused projects, and purposeful leadership that Yagba and Kogi West deserve.
“We are ready to take this message to every ward, every street, and every polling unit. With God and the people behind us, victory is certain,” Hon. Arogbonlo concluded.
