By joshua STOP IMPERSONATING KABBA APC LEADERS, CALL YOURSELF WHAT YOUR GROUP REPRESENTS AND STOP MISLEADING THE PUBLIC: AN OPEN WARNING TO AGENTS OF DIVISION
The attention of the leadership, executives, and critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kabba has been drawn to a widely circulated publication titled “Kabba APC Leaders Cement Ties With Hon. Faleke, Commend His Developmental Efforts in Kogi State.”
Ordinarily, the APC in Kabba would not have considered it necessary to respond to the publication. However, in view of the false claims contained therein, the deliberate misrepresentation of facts, and the misleading impression it seeks to create before members of the public, it has become imperative to set the record straight.
First and foremost, we wish to make it abundantly clear that the individuals who paid a visit to Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke did so strictly in their personal capacities as his supporters, political associates, and admirers. They were not delegated, authorized, nominated, or mandated by the APC in Kabba to represent the party or speak on behalf of its leadership at any level.
The attempt to describe the delegation as “Kabba APC Leaders” is false, deceptive, and a gross misrepresentation of the true position of affairs within the party. It is a calculated attempt to confer on themselves a status they neither possess nor have been given by the party.
For the avoidance of doubt, none of the individuals in that delegation is a serving executive member of the APC at the ward level, local government level, or any other recognized structure of the party in Kabba. Furthermore, none of them holds any appointment or official responsibility that qualifies them to parade themselves before the public as leaders of the APC in Kabba.
Their actions therefore amount to impersonation, misrepresentation of facts, and an intentional effort to deceive members of the public into believing that they are the recognized representatives of the party. Such conduct is unethical, unacceptable, and capable of creating unnecessary confusion among party faithful and the general public.
Let it also be clearly stated that the APC in Kabba has absolutely nothing against the person of Hon. James Abiodun Faleke or the visit, however what the group captions itself makes them to be unauthentic, impostors and fake.
Our concern is not the visit itself but the deliberate falsehood and political mischief surrounding it. The individuals involved deliberately chose to present themselves as the official leadership of the APC in Kabba when they knew fully well that they lacked such authority. This is an act capable of sowing discord, creating factions, and undermining the unity and stability that the party has continued to enjoy.
It is unfortunate that rather than promoting peace, unity, and collective progress, some persons have chosen the path of division and political mischief by attempting to hijack the identity of the party for personal relevance. Such desperate acts are unbecoming of loyal party members and will not be tolerated.
We therefore issue this open warning to all those involved to immediately desist from impersonating the leadership of the APC in Kabba. Going forward, they should accurately describe themselves for what they truly are a group of supporters or associates and refrain from misleading the public through false representations.
We also advise media organizations, bloggers, and the general public to verify information relating to the APC in Kabba through the appropriate and recognized party structures before publication, so as not to lend credibility to falsehood and misinformation.
The APC in Kabba remains united, disciplined, and committed to the ideals of the party. We shall continue to resist every attempt by individuals or groups whose actions are capable of causing disunity within our ranks. No amount of propaganda, impersonation, or political manipulation will distract us from our collective commitment to the growth and success of the party.
Once again, we reiterate that those who visited Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke did so as his supporters and not as leaders of the APC in Kabba. They should therefore stop misleading the public, stop impersonating the party leadership, and discontinue every act capable of creating unnecessary division within the APC family.
