KPSF COMMENDS TINUBU OVER APPROVAL OF OTUOCHA – ANAM – IBAJI ROADS .

 

 

The leadership of Kogi Progressive Stakeholder Forum (KPSF), has expressed gratitude and appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, for the approval of the design and procurement of the Otuocha- Anam – Ibaji- road, a 108 kilometer road linking Anambra and Kogi States.

The forum made this known in a press statement issued by the State Coordinator Sani Philips, thanking the President for his commitment towards the infrastructural development of the country and making life easy for its citizenry.

“Recall that the Kogi Progressive Stakeholders Forum (KPSF) at a one day Zonal Strategic Meeting which held on the 9th of July, 2026 at Anyigba, Dekina LGA to formulate potent strategies towards winning elections for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR appealed to the President for the construction of the Otuocha- Anam – Ibaji – Idah road .

We are pleased to hear that the President, being a proactive leader that listens graciously approved the design and procurement of the Otuocha- Nzam- Ibaji- Idah road on the 13th of July 2026.

Citizens from Kogi State, especially those from Ibaji and Idah LGA’s in Kogi East are appreciative of the President’s action towards uplifting the well being citizens by creating jobs and revitalising the socio – economic activities of communities in Anambra and Kogi State through the approval of the Otuocha – Nzam- Ibaji roads .

‎The economic importance of the road when constructed cannot be overemphasized, as the road will link many agrarian rural communities to major hubs, shorten travel time with the corridor linking the industrialized south east commercial hubs to North Central transit network, improving the local economy of both regions.

Since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR assumed office, he has executed key projects and policy reforms, that has continued to impact positively on the nations economy.

On Infrastructure and Transportation, heavy investments are being channeled into several projects across the country like the Lagos – Calabar Coastal Highway and the Kano – Maradi Railway and now the Otuocha – Nzam- Ibaji – roads.

On economic reforms and fiscal policy, the administration removed the fraudulent petrol subsidy and unified the official foreign exchange market to boost revenue and restore macroeconomic stability

Under the administration of President Bola Tinubu. Nigeria’s Gross external reserves reached $51.04 billion by mid June 2026, the highest level recorded in roughly 17 years. This achievement is made possible by sustained foreign exchange inflows, improved oil revenues, and foreign investor participation in fixed income markets.

On Education and Youth Empowerment, the President established the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to provide interest free loans to students in tertiary institutions.

On Agriculture and Food Security, the government under the leadership of President Tinubu declared a state of emergency on food insecurity and launched a N100 billion Agricultural Development fund. The administration also introduced the National Livestock Program to improve productivity and resolve farmer – header crises.

The forum also extended its gratitude and appreciation to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, for always bringing the Otuocha – Anam – Ibaji- Idah road construction to the attention of the Federal Government.

KPSF stands resolute in her commitment to continue to mobilize citizens across Kogi State for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, and other candidates of the APC for the Presidential / National Assembly Elections.
