By joshua PROVISION OF AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENTS/INPUTS TO ADAVI/OKEHI FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY BY HON. ABDULMALEEK ABDULRAHEEM DANGA
Agriculture remains the backbone of Nigeria’s economy, especially at the constituency level where most households depend on farming for food and income.
Hon. Abdulmaleek Abdulraheem Danga has empower the good people of Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency of Kogi State, provision of agricultural implements and inputs which represents a direct intervention aimed at boosting productivity, reducing production costs, and improving rural livelihoods.
Adavi/Okehi are predominantly agrarian communities in the Kogi Central Senatorial District. Major crops grown include yam, maize, cassava, rice, vegetables, and cash crops like cashew. Farmers in these areas face recurring challenges; high cost of inputs, limited access to modern tools, post-harvest losses, and low yields due to pests and poor soil fertility.
The distribution of the agricultural inputs includes:
1. 500kg NPK Fertilizers
2. Knapsack Sprayers
3. Herbicides
4. Insecticides
Together, these items form a basic “input package” that enables a farmer to prepare land, plant, maintain, and protect crops through the season.
