PRESS RELEASE
JAFSMW: Alfred Bello’s Allegations Against Faleke Are Baseless and Do Not Reflect the Reality in Kogi APC

The Hon. James Abiodun Faleke Solidarity Movement Worldwide (JAFSMW) has expressed disappointment over the remarks made by Hon. Alfred Bello, a former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly and current Commissioner in charge of Training at the Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, during a purported Kogi West stakeholders’ press conference held on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
In his address, Hon. Bello reportedly urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to “call Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke to order,” alleging that the respected lawmaker was creating problems capable of affecting Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration and the future electoral fortunes of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
These allegations are as weighty as they are unsupported.
If Hon. Alfred Bello genuinely believes that Rt. Hon. Faleke is creating problems “everywhere,” he owes the public a duty to identify those problems and provide verifiable evidence. Public officers should exercise restraint and responsibility when making statements capable of creating unnecessary political tension.
The truth remains that Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke has never hidden his support for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. He has repeatedly called on his political associates and supporters across Kogi State to rally behind the Governor and has publicly pledged to support his second-term aspiration.
Against this background, the public is entitled to ask whether Hon. Bello now considers loyalty to the APC and support for Governor Ododo as acts of political misconduct.
It is also surprising that Hon. Bello appears unaware of the cordial and respectful relationship existing between Governor Ododo and Rt. Hon. Faleke. Those who understand the internal dynamics of the APC in Kogi State know that both leaders have consistently demonstrated maturity and commitment to the unity of the party.
JAFSMW therefore believes that Hon. Bello’s comments neither represent the reality within the APC nor contribute to the peace and cohesion required as the party prepares for future electoral contests.
Furthermore, any attempt to suggest that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should reassess his confidence in Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke ignores the decades of political association, loyalty and trust that have existed between the two leaders. Such a relationship cannot be undermined by unsupported accusations or politically motivated narratives.
Rather than creating imaginary divisions, political leaders should concentrate on strengthening the APC, supporting Governor Ododo’s administration and promoting the collective interests of the people of Kogi State.
The Hon. James Abiodun Faleke Solidarity Movement Worldwide remains committed to issue-based politics, party unity and the continued success of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while also supporting every sincere effort that will guarantee peace, stability and development in Kogi State.
Signed
