By joshua Insurgents flee as Gov Ododo leads onslaught on banditry

There are leaders and there are good leaders. Good leaders understand the core value of the mandate given to them by their people and the act to meet the dire need of their people. Indeed, this can be aptly said of the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo who is today dismantling the den of intruding bandits to the state.
It is a known fact that Kogi State is bounded by about ten states of the federation. The state has therefore been targeted to be a route for fleeing bandits from other states in the country. In spite of this ugly development, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has said in a very clear and strong term that Kogi State can never never be a safe haven for bandits.
His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is not just making pronouncements but has been living by his words by dismantling every territory the bandits try to put up in any part of the state. The governor has fully declared war against any attempt by any bandit or their group to invade the state – INDEED NO SAFE PLACE FOR INSURGENTS IN KOGI STATE.
His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is not just reeling words but is consistently backing his words with actions. Immediately he assumed office in 2024 he bought vehicles for all the security formations in the state. This was a positive move to adequately equip all the security agencies in the state with the necessary tools to tackle the men of the underworld whenever they rear their ugly heads in any part of the state.
In recent times bandits have started fleeing neighbouring states with the believe that they can have a hiding place in Kogi State. Luck however has been running against them as His Excellency has mobilized human resources and vehicles in routing them out of the state. Only last week the governor launched armoured vehicles at Iluke for the security agents in the state to continue their onslaught on the insurgents fleeing other states enroute Kogi State.
This effort yielded great and positive results two weeks ago when the notorious wanted bandit leader, Kachalla Ibrahim Battijo was eliminated by the combined efforts of the security agents in the state. His body is already undertaking autopsy to ascertain his full and undeniable identity.
It is worthy to note here that prior to the elimination of Kachalla Ibrahim Battijo the security agents in the state had foiled attempts by bandits to disrupt a West African Examination Council centre were students were writing their final year examination in the state. The bandits who were involved in the notorious act were eliminated. This, no doubt can positively be attributed to the action oriented non-nonsense moves of His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in making Kogi State a no go area for insurgents.
With the resources His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has kept investing in the fight against insurgency and the positive results it is yielding it is very very clear to state here that our amiable governor is leading in the fight against insurgency among the thirty six states of the federation and Abuja.
There is no doubt that His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is on top of his mandate in protecting the lives and properties of the people of Kogi State as enshrined in the Nigeria constitution. With him Kogi State is in safe hands.
