Development across the globe is tie to quality information dissemination. The amount of information available to people in their environment at any given time determines the level of success they attain.
There is no doubt that since inception of his administration in January 2024, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has strengthened all the arms of information dissemination in the state. As we speak the state ministry of information is daily carrying out its official function of information dissemination, Radio Kogi is operating successfully, the State owned Print Media – The Graphic newspaper is also operating on a weekly basis and at its optimal level. These media organizations have remained to be great medium of operation for the promotion of government activities to the people of the state and Nigeria public at large.
What’s more, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has also ensured that the state is not left out in promoting the state activities with the national and private media across the country. A daily checks reveals that Kogi State is projected daily in all the national and private media which includes the print and electronic media. These Indeed has gone a very long way in attracting development to the state and placing the state on the global map.
His Excellency, the Chief Servant of Kogi State is a lover of the media. As a very transparent Chief Executive officer of the state, the governor has always made the activities of his administration public through the media.
In His Excellency’s bid to promote information dissemination to all the nooks and cranny of the state, he has taken the bold step to put up a boaster station of Radio Kogi at Okeneba in Kogi Central. This of course is a right step in the right direction in our modern world where information is the life wire of living.
As we speak, the Honourable Commissioner of Information and Communication strategy, Chief Kingsley Fanwo with his management team had already visited Okeneba which is the site of the boaster station and had put the needed logistics for the Radio Station to come on stream.
While the Radio Kogi stations at Lokoja, Egbe and Ochaja had continued to perform their duties optimally the coming up of Radio Okeneba will extensively boost the state information dissemination not only in Kogi Central but in the entire Kogi State, Nigeria and the global community.
The positive decision of the Chief Servant of the state, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to put up Radio Okeneba would go a long way in projecting the state’s economic potentials and the state cultural heritage. The State which is blessed with enormous natural potentials would attract foreign investors through the new additional wave of information dissemination in the state.
His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is a leader with great vision for the state. Information is one of his great vision for the development of Kogi State.
