APC STAKEHOLDERS URGE CAUTION ON 2027 CANDIDATE BRIEFINGS TO PRESIDENT TINUBU

…Concerned Leaders Call for Unity and Accurate Information Ahead of Polls
Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the Concerned APC Leaders forum have appealed to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, and Hon. Leke Abejide, Member Representing Yagba Federal Constituency, to ensure only verified information reaches President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, regarding 2027 National Assembly candidates.
In a press statement issued in Lokoja by the group’s Secretary, Hon. Mohammed Tijani, the stakeholders noted the need for alignment within the party as preparations for 2027 begin. They expressed concern that unverified reports and social media content could create misunderstanding about the candidates already selected to represent the party.
“Candidates chosen to fly the APC flag for the 2027 National Assembly elections in Kogi are grassroots politicians with proven records and the capacity to deliver for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party,” the statement read.
The group appealed to President Tinubu to rely on official party channels and verified feedback from broad stakeholder consultations. This, they said, will help maintain unity and prevent avoidable divisions that opposition parties could take advantage of.
The stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to the success of APC in Kogi and urged all leaders to prioritize the collective interest of the party above personal positions as the 2027 elections approach.
