Kogi PDP Chairman Gambo Muhammed Vows to Reclaim Lugard House, Aso Rock in 2027, Says Party Crisis Will End Soon

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kogi State, Hon. Muhammed Sani Gambo, has restated the party’s determination to reclaim power at both the state and national levels in the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Gambo made the declaration while addressing party officials, stakeholders, and members during the last Kogi East Senatorial primary election held at Stephen Achema Stadium, Idah, the headquarters of Kogi East Senatorial District.
The Kogi PDP Chairman urged members to remain calm and united, assuring them that the internal crisis rocking the party at the national level would soon be resolved.
According to him, the only National Working Committee recognized by law and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is the one led by Alhaji Abdulrahman Muhammed as National Chairman and Senator Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary.
He stated that “Turaki” is not recognized by law and has never been National Chairman of the party, stressing that PDP members must accept the reality and rally behind the recognized leadership.
Hon. Gambo further emphasized that the Kogi State chapter of the PDP remains loyal to the INEC-recognized national body and to the party’s national leader, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
He assured party faithful that all PDP candidates would emerge victorious in future elections and called on members to intensify grassroots mobilization across the 21 local government areas of the state.
“The PDP remains a strong political force in Kogi State and has come to stay. We are poised to take over Lugard House and Aso Rock Villa. Nigerians have come to understand that the PDP administration was light compared to the darkness Nigerians are experiencing under the APC,” he said.
The chairman’s remarks come as the PDP in Kogi State continues its internal preparations ahead of the 2027 elections.
