Kogi APC Puts Certificate of Return Presentation on Hold Indefinitely
The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi State has postponed indefinitely the presentation of Certificates of Return to winners of its recent primary election.
The ceremony, which was scheduled for yesterday at the party secretariat in Lokoja, was called off after the state chapter said only the National Secretariat in Abuja can issue the certificates.
According to the party, the National APC conducted the primaries and holds the authentic results, making it the only authority empowered to issue results and Certificates of Return.
In a notice released Tuesday and signed by State Chairman Engr. Aliyu Momoh Ezzu, the party informed stakeholders, supporters, and winners that the presentation “has been postponed until further notice.”
“A new date and time for the presentation will be communicated accordingly,” the statement added.
