HON. TAJUDEEN IBRAHIM BISIMILLAHI WITHDRAWS SENATORIAL ASPIRATION, URGES SUPPORTERS TO REMAIN CALM AND FAITHFUL TO APC

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HON. TAJUDEEN IBRAHIM BISIMILLAHI WITHDRAWS SENATORIAL ASPIRATION, URGES SUPPORTERS TO REMAIN CALM AND FAITHFUL TO APC

Hon. Tajudeen Ibrahim Bisimillahi has announced the withdrawal of his aspiration for the Kogi West Senatorial Seat, following the Party Leadership’s endorsement of Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, the incumbent Senator of Kogi Western Senatorial District, as its preferred aspirant.

While the decision comes with personal disappointment, Hon. Bisimillahi has chosen to make this sacrifice in the interest of party unity, respect for leadership, and obedience to divine authority—not because he is less qualified to be the Senator of Kogi West.

A State of Mind Guided by Scripture

Reflecting on his decision, Hon. Bisimillahi draws strength and perspective from both the Holy Bible and the Holy Quran regarding the emergence of leadership:

Biblical Quote:

“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” — Romans 13:1 (NIV)

Quranic Quote:

“O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you.” — Surah An-Nisa (4:59)

“These scriptures remind me that leadership emergence is ultimately decreed by the Almighty,” Hon. Bisimillahi said. “I accept the party’s choice with a peaceful heart, trusting that my sacrifice is seen by Allah and by God, who rewards all acts of patience and loyalty.”

A Call for Calm and Continued Support

Hon. Bisimillahi appealed passionately to his supporters, stakeholders, and well-wishers across Kogi West:

“To my dear supporters who believed in me, worked tirelessly for me, and sacrificed so much for this dream—I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I ask you to accept this decision as I have accepted it. Let there be no bitterness, no confrontation, no division.

“Remain calm. Remain loyal to the APC, a party we have all labored to build. Continue to support the party’s candidates and leadership. Our time is not lost; it is only deferred. Better days are ahead for every one of us. What we sow in patience today, we shall reap in joy tomorrow.”

He reassured his followers that their collective efforts have not been in vain and that the future holds greater opportunities for service and impact.

Commitment to Party Unity

Hon. Bisimillahi confirmed that his decision follows extensive consultations and is made in deference to the APC leadership, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader Hon. James Faleke, Kogi State Governor Alhaji Usman Ododo, and former Governor His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

He pledged to work harmoniously with Senator Sunday Steve Karimi and the broader party machinery to ensure a landslide victory for the APC in the upcoming elections.

“I remain a loyal and unrepentant foundation member of the APC. My commitment to the party and to the good people of Kogi West is unwavering. I will continue to serve, support, and contribute in every way I can.”

Looking Ahead

Hon. Bisimillahi concluded with a message of hope: “To every supporter who feels the weight of this moment, I say: do not lose heart. God has not forgotten us. The same authority that ordains leadership also ordains seasons. Our brighter days are surely coming.”
