
QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman Successfully Screened for Kogi East Senatorial Race at ADC Secretariat in Lokoja

Lokoja, Kogi State — The aspiration of QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman for the Kogi East Senatorial seat under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) received a major boost as he was successfully screened at the party’s State Secretariat in Lokoja.

The screening exercise, which attracted party stakeholders, supporters, youth groups, and political associates from different parts of Kogi East, was conducted peacefully and in line with the party’s constitutional guidelines.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman expressed gratitude to the leadership of the ADC for what he described as a transparent and credible process. He reaffirmed his commitment to purposeful representation, strategic legislation, and people-oriented leadership for the people of Kogi East.
According to him, “This journey is beyond personal ambition. It is about giving our people a stronger voice, quality representation, and effective legislative advocacy that will attract development to Kogi East. I remain committed to engaging directly with the people across the nine local government areas.”
He further stated that he is fully prepared for the party’s primary election scheduled for next week and remains optimistic about emerging victorious as the ADC candidate for Kogi East Senatorial District.
“Our focus is on building a movement that is people-driven, inclusive, and development-oriented. By the grace of God and the support of our people, we are confident of securing the party’s ticket and moving forward to the main election,” he added.
Supporters who accompanied the senatorial hopeful to the screening venue described him as a competent, experienced, and accessible leader with the capacity to reposition Kogi East politically and economically.
Many party faithful at the venue expressed confidence in his vision, grassroots appeal, and growing acceptability across the nine local government areas of Kogi East.
The atmosphere at the ADC Secretariat remained upbeat as supporters and stakeholders expressed optimism over the growing momentum surrounding his senatorial ambition.
Political observers believe the successful screening marks the beginning of what may become one of the most closely watched senatorial contests in Kogi East ahead of the 2027 general elections.
