APC National Team Arrives in Kogi for House of Representatives Primaries

 

The National leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has arrived in Kogi State to oversee the House of Representatives primary elections.

The party officials were received by the Kogi State chapter of the APC. The state party also announced the appointment of nine returning officers to supervise the exercise across the federal constituencies.

Speaking during the meeting, Chairman of the Election Committee, Lawal Samaila Abdullahi, said the committee’s mandate is to ensure a free, fair, and transparent primary election process.

He stated that members of the committee had been directed to remain impartial and provide all aspirants with equal opportunity.

Abdullahi commended the state APC leadership for its preparations ahead of the arrival of the national committee. He added that election materials covering the 239 wards in the state had been distributed to the nine returning officers.

He urged aspirants and supporters across the nine federal constituencies to conduct themselves peacefully and in line with party guidelines.

The committee chairman also assured members that logistics and security arrangements had been put in place to support a smooth and orderly election process.
