The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashiru Gegu, has convened a stakeholders’ meeting in Kogi West to rally support for President Bola Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress, APC, aspirants ahead of the party’s primaries.

At the meeting, Gegu declared his backing for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, describing his re-election bid as sacrosanct.

He also reaffirmed support for Hon. Sam Aro for Kogi West Senatorial District and Hon. Suleiman Aguye, saying the aspirants were capable of delivering on the people’s yearnings and aspirations.

The commissioner, who has emerged as a political rallying point in Kogi West, extended his endorsement to two House of Assembly aspirants from Lokoja and Kogi Local Government Areas.

Gegu expressed confidence that the APC would sweep both the primaries and the general election, describing Kogi West as firmly in the grip of the party. He declared Lokoja and Kogi LGAs a “no-go area” for the opposition.

He urged stakeholders to remain focused and resolute in their support for President Tinubu, Governor Ododo, and the listed aspirants, stressing that they would effectively serve the interest of the people if elected.
