For those who have followed his trajectory from Kogi LGA chairman to commissioner, Gegu represents both a watershed moment in the state’s political culture and a work in progress still defining his legacy.
Gegu’s staying power lies in a rare combination of political loyalty and practical delivery. He remained steadfast with former Governor Yahaya Bello through thick and thin, and has since transferred the same commitment to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and President Bola Tinubu.

From road projects to healthcare and youth empowerment, his interventions cut across Kogi LGA, Yagba West, Ankpa, and Ojima.

He is credited with facilitating thousands of defections to the APC in Kogi State, strengthening the party’s structure ahead of the 2027 elections. His message remains consistent: no vacancy in Aso Rock and Lugard House, and Kogi is secured for the APC.

He is not confined to the Ministry’s walls but actively engages in community development, party building, and mentorship.
