Esosa Iyawe Denies Resignation From APC, Dismisses Viral Letter

Member representing Oredo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Esosa Iyawe, has denied reports alleging that he resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing a viral resignation letter circulating online as unauthorized and misleading.
In a press statement released on Thursday, the federal lawmaker said the purported letter did not originate from him and does not reflect his position regarding the ruling party.
According to Iyawe, the letter was allegedly issued without his approval by “overzealous individuals” within his media circle and some loyalists who acted outside his directives.
“I wish to categorically state that the said letter does not represent my position,” the statement read, as he firmly reiterated his loyalty and commitment to the APC.
The lawmaker further clarified that he has neither resigned his membership from the party nor withdrawn from his political aspirations, contrary to speculations making the rounds on social media.
Hon. Iyawe explained that he is currently involved in ongoing consultations and engagements with the leadership of the APC in Edo State over issues concerning the party and the future of Oredo Federal Constituency.
He noted that the discussions are being conducted in the spirit of unity, mutual respect, and the collective progress of the party.
The federal lawmaker therefore appealed to party faithful, supporters, and members of the public to disregard the purported resignation letter and any related misinformation.
He also expressed appreciation to his supporters and well-wishers for their concern, solidarity, and continued support during the controversy.
Hon. Esosa Iyawe currently represents Oredo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
