Kogi APC Screens Speaker, Other State Assembly Aspirants for 2027 Poll

The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf has been screened by the All Progressives Congress, APC, State 2027 Candidates’ Screening Committee in Lokoja on Saturday.
A Press Statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Yabagi Mohammed said the screening took place in Lokoja with the documents and qualifications of other aspirants into the State House of Assembly in the 2027 elections also checked.
According to the statement, the Speaker described the process as seamless and applauded the leadership of the party in the state for its commitment towards ensuring a hitch – free process.
He also praised the State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his commitment towards providing the enabling environment for effective party governance.
Rt. Hon. Umar also praised the state APC Chairman, Engr. Aliyu Momoh Ezzu for his demonstration of expertise in party administration, noting that it has shown why the APC remains the only credible platform to stand for election and the party of the masses.
He expressed confidence in the ability of those that would be fielded by the governing party in next year’s elections to ensure sustained winning streak beyond the polls.
