QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman Receives Massive Endorsement at Idah ADC Stakeholders Meeting
The aspiration of Alhaji Aminu Abubakar Suleiman continued to gain momentum as stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Idah unanimously adopted him as their preferred candidate for the Kogi East Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The strategic stakeholders meeting attracted party leaders, community stakeholders, professionals, youths, women groups, and political associates from across Idah Federal Constituency and focused on equity, effective representation, grassroots development, and the political future of Kogi East.
During the meeting, Dr Sule Odoma formally announced the adoption of QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman by stakeholders of Idah Federal Constituency.
According to him, the adoption followed extensive consultations and careful assessment of the aspirant’s leadership qualities, professional accomplishments, competence, and commitment to the development of Kogi East.
He stated that the people of Idah Federal Constituency believe the time has come for the area to produce the next senator representing Kogi East in the spirit of fairness, justice, equity, and political balance.
Responding to the endorsement, Alhaji Aminu Abubakar Suleiman appreciated the stakeholders for their support and confidence in his aspiration.
In his address, QS Suleiman outlined his vision and manifesto for Kogi East, emphasizing that the office of a senator requires quality legislation, policy making, effective representation, and strategic lobbying capable of attracting development and opportunities to the people.
He assured the gathering that if elected, he would sponsor people-oriented bills, support progressive legislation, and actively lobby federal ministries, agencies, and development partners to attract infrastructure, empowerment programs, healthcare interventions, rural electrification projects, agricultural support, and employment opportunities to Kogi East.
He stated that quality legislation remains one of the strongest instruments for national transformation and maintained that Kogi East deserves a senator who understands governance, policy formulation, legislative responsibilities, and constituency representation.
QS Suleiman also promised to institutionalize regular town hall meetings across the nine local government areas of Kogi East to maintain direct interaction with constituents and obtain firsthand information about the challenges facing the people.
According to him, leadership becomes meaningful when leaders remain accessible to the grassroots and allow the people to participate in governance through continuous engagement and consultation.
He noted that one of the major failures of political representation in Nigeria is the disconnect between elected officials and the people after elections, assuring stakeholders that his representation would remain accessible, transparent, and participatory.
QS Suleiman further highlighted his professional background, qualifications, and experience in quantity surveying, project management, infrastructure development, and strategic administration, noting that his exposure and international affiliations have equipped him with the competence required for effective senatorial representation.
He spoke extensively on his professional qualifications and affiliations, including MRICS, FNIQS, RQS, MAPM, ACIArb, and CCArb, which according to him have exposed him to global best practices in leadership, development planning, negotiation, project delivery, and public administration.
He explained that his decision to contest for the Senate was inspired by the need to deploy his experience, exposure, and professional network toward solving the developmental challenges confronting Kogi East Senatorial District.
Speaking on behalf of the incoming ADC chairmen across the nine local government areas of Kogi East Senatorial District, Alih Awah affirmed that QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman possesses the best qualities required for effective senatorial representation.
He described QS Suleiman as a competent technocrat, experienced administrator, bridge builder, and development-oriented leader whose professional exposure, leadership capacity, and grassroots acceptance distinguish him among other aspirants in the race for the Kogi East Senatorial seat.
Alih Awah stated that the incoming ADC chairmen across the nine local government areas of Kogi East are united in their support for the aspiration of QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman and are committed to mobilizing grassroots support for his emergence.
According to him, Kogi East requires a senator with capacity, accessibility, vision, and the ability to attract meaningful development through effective legislation, policy advocacy, and strategic lobbying at the national level.
He further urged party members, stakeholders, youths, and women across the senatorial district to remain focused, united, and determined in the collective effort to secure quality representation for Kogi East under the platform of the ADC.
Giving the vote of thanks, Pst Adukwu Ojodale appreciated all stakeholders, party faithful, youths, women groups, and supporters who attended the meeting and demonstrated commitment toward the success of the party and the aspiration of QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman.
He encouraged the people of Idah Federal Constituency to remain resolute, united, and steadfast in their support for QS Suleiman, stressing that the aspiration represents the collective interest and political future of the constituency within Kogi East.
Pst Adukwu Ojodale further declared that QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman remains the adopted senatorial candidate of the party and urged all party structures to intensify grassroots mobilization and consultations across the district.
The meeting ended with prayers, solidarity messages, and renewed commitments by stakeholders and party faithful to mobilize massive support for the aspiration of QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman across Kogi East Senatorial District.
