A truce has been reached between Barrister Kabiru Usman, former North Central Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Hon. Ahmed Idris, following a reconciliation meeting convened by PDP leader Senator Natasha Akpoti Udaughan.

At the meeting, Hon. Ahmed Idris tendered an apology for inflammatory remarks made against Barr. Kabiru, admitting he acted in ignorance and asking for forgiveness.

In response, Barr. Kabiru described Hon. Ahmed as a son who had acknowledged his mistakes and sought reconciliation. Accepting the apology, he said the resolution was aimed at repositioning the PDP in Kogi State.

“It is normal for a father and son to have misunderstandings. He is my son and I am his father. I will henceforth not hold any grudge against him, for I have forgiven him,” Barr. Kabiru stated.

Hon. Ahmed also expressed gratitude to Senator Natasha Akpoti Udaughan and Chief Emmanuel Udaughan for creating the platform for reconciliation. “I acted in ignorance. Now that I have realized my mistakes, kindly find it in your heart to forgive my shortcomings,” he said.

He further urged all PDP members and citizens to rally behind Barr. Kabiru in building a stronger and more united PDP in the state.
