RENEWED HOPE AMBASSADORS: IJUMU POLITICAL ELITES CELEBRATE APPOINTMENTS OF IJUMU LGA DG AND IJUMU-OKE DISTRICT COORDINATOR
The Ijumu Political Elites (IPE), a prominent socio-cultural and political group in Ijumu Local Government Area, has congratulated Dr. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko on his appointment as Director General, Ijumu LGA, and Hon. Kamaldeen Toyin as District Coordinator, Ijumu-Oke, under the Renewed Hope Project.
In a statement issued on Saturday, IPE President Bishop Timothy applauded Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ododo, for entrusting Dr. Olumoko with the assignment, describing the decision as strategic and commendable.
The group noted that Dr. Olumoko is widely regarded as the most accomplished former local government head in Ijumu’s history, with a tenure that remains a benchmark across the constituency.
Beyond local administration, Dr. Olumoko has served in several capacities instrumental to APC victories at the polls.
The IPE expressed confidence that he will deliver yet another resounding success leading the Renewed Hope Project in Ijumu LGA.
The group also eulogised Hon. Kamaldeen Toyin’s appointment, describing him as a political maverick — intellectually sound, physically dogged, and deeply committed to grassroots mobilisation.
Dr. Kamal distinguished himself as lead consultant on forestry, haulage, and Trust Fund matters in Ijumu LGA, where he empowered numerous youths and placed several party stakeholders on monthly salaries, enabling developmental projects.
A veteran of various state campaign councils since the second-term bid of former Governor Yahaya Bello, Hon. Kamal’s appointment to coordinate Mr. President’s re-election efforts in Ijumu-Oke is a sophisticated and strategic move for massive results, the IPE stated.
The group reaffirmed its full support for both appointees, expressing optimism that their leadership will usher in greater unity, development, and electoral victory for Ijumu LGA.
