In the political conversation across Yagba Federal Constituency today, one name keeps rising above the din of routine politicking: Engr. Femi Edward Meseko.
He is now a household name, not because he once attempted to serve, but because through positive impacts he has already met the yearning and aspirations of the people.
From Mopamuro to Yagba East and Yagba West, his footprints are visible in virtually every community, making his name synonymous with development long before a mandate.
A man who is down to earth, humility personified, Meseko has built a reputation that cuts through partisan lines and generational divides.
Though blessed with a deep pocket, his life is underscored by a humble beginning and an uncommon love for the less privileged and the have-nots.
It is this mix of capacity and compassion that has turned him into what many now call a rare breed politician, unlike the average Nigerian politician whose promises dissolve after election day.
Those who have followed his trajectory insist that Engr. Meseko carries native intelligence, intellectual acumen, and a record of sincere service that sets him apart. His politics has remained purposeful, peaceful, and prosperity driven, anchored on deliberate intentions to serve in a patriotic manner.

Youths point to his mentorship and quiet empowerment of young professionals and artisans who now run thriving ventures. Women groups cite his support for cooperatives and petty traders without the usual fanfare that reduces empowerment to photo opportunities.
Traditional institutions reference his accessibility and respect for culture, noting that he never confuses influence with arrogance. These qualities have fused into a single perception: if elected in 2027, Meseko will be a match for other lawmakers, because he comes prepared, with policy clarity and grassroots legitimacy.
“Meseko is the best thing that will ever happen to Yagba Federal Constituency,” says Chief Samuel Ajayi, a community elder in Mopamuro. “He is not learning on the job. He understands budgets, he understands engineering, and he understands our pain. When a man combines brain with heart, prosperity follows.”
In Yagba East, Mrs. Rukayat Jimoh, a market leader, puts it differently: “We have seen many with manifestos. Meseko came with results before campaign. That is the difference. He does not wait for office to wipe tears.”
A youth leader in Yagba West, Tunde Oloruntoba, adds: “He is not a noise maker. He is a solution provider. If Abuja is where laws are made, then we must send our best engineer to construct a better Yagba. Meseko is that engineer.”
Beyond the testimonials, Meseko’s appeal is rooted in what stakeholders call the Mopamuro spirit of unity. He represents Mopamuro united in purpose to ensure the people take what rightfully belongs to them, in the spirit of rotation, fairness, and justice. Yet his vision is not parochial. He speaks of Yagba as one economic bloc, bound by shared farmlands, shared markets, and shared destiny. His development philosophy is simple: open up rural roads to move farm produce, power communities to drive cottage industries, water schools to secure the next generation, and secure towns to keep wealth at home.
Associates say his engineering background gives him an edge in project conception and supervision, while his boardroom exposure equips him for oversight, negotiation, and lobbying. He is said to be a man of data who measures need before deploying funds, and a man of conscience who measures impact before claiming success.
Other qualities that present Meseko as what Yagba Federal Constituency needs in 2027 are his temperament and his network. He is calm under pressure, firm without being combative, and collaborative without being compromised.
He has built relationships across the National Assembly, ministries, and development agencies that can be leveraged for Yagba the moment if he is sworn in. He understands that representation is not about fighting every cause, but about winning the right causes for his people.

In Iluhafon, farmer Aliyu Sule is more direct: “We don’t want trials. We want a tested hand. Meseko has touched water, he has touched light, he has touched school. What else is governance?”
For Hajia Mariam Lawal, a retired teacher in Isanlu, the issue is legacy: “Our children need role models in public office. Meseko’s humility teaches that you can be great and still be grounded. That is the Yagba we want to export to Nigeria.”
As 2027 draws near, the argument in Yagba is no longer about whether the constituency needs change, but about the quality of change it deserves. Engr. Femi Edward Meseko has, by quiet service, positioned himself as the answer to that question. He is a choice for Yagba’s prosperity because he brings native intelligence to diagnose problems, intellectual acumen to design solutions, and sincere service to deliver them.
