Engr. Bashiru Gegu has pledge his commitment to repair a borehole and construct a block of two classrooms, on Wednesday during a visit to a Fulani settlement in Kogi Local Government Area.
The visit was part of an ongoing campaign to promote the continuity of President Bola Tinubu’s and Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo’s initiatives.
The visit, which took place in the early hours of the day, was described by community leaders as “humane” and timely.
The leader of the settlement, the Ardo, expressed appreciation for the intervention and described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as “a party that keeps its promises.” He assured that the community would continue to support the party.
Hajiya Amina Wurimango, the woman leader of the Fulani settlement, also commended the visit and thanked Governor Ododo “for always meeting the community’s demands.” She further expressed gratitude for previous interventions in the settlement.
The pledges to fix the community’s borehole and build new classrooms are aimed at addressing water and education needs in the settlement, in line with the state government’s grassroots development drive.
