Kogi Environment Commissioner preach unity, compassion at Easter
The Kogi State Commissioner For Environment and Ecological Management, Engr. Joseph Oluwasegun, has sent a message of unity and peace in celebration of the Easter period.
The Commissioner expressed optimism that Kogi State is on the path of progress under the administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo.
Engr. Joseph urge Kogites to prioritise peace, stability, called on extend compassion to vulnerable members of society, stressing that Easter symbolises sacrifice, love, and hope.
He urged Christians to reflect the virtues demonstrated by Jesus Christ, saying,
“Easter is a reminder of the enduring power of love and the selfless sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the hope His resurrection brings to all humanity,” he said.
“As we celebrate with loved ones, let us remember those in need and extend compassion and support wherever we can.”
He added that the season should inspire citizens to work collectively toward a peaceful and prosperous Kogi State, described Easter as a reminder of sacrifice, forgiveness, and hope.
Engr. Joseph emphasised that the lessons of Easter are essential for building a peaceful and progressive society, urge Kogites to embrace unity and uphold the long-standing tradition of religious harmony in the State.
He congratulated Gov. Ododo and Christians in Yagba West in particular, called on Christians to reflect on the significance of Christ’s sacrifice and its relevance to development.
