Onogie Meets With Chiefs, Pledges Afemai Support for Ododo’s Administration.

 

The Onogie of Afemai, Alhaji Zakari Dangana, has reaffirmed the commitment of Afemai sons and daughters to the growth and development of Kogi State.

Speaking at a meeting with Afemai Chiefs at his Palace in Lokongoma, Lokoja, the Onogie urged Afemai people to respect authorities and support Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo’s, administration.

He praised Gov. Ododo for fostering peace, unity, and tranquility in the State, citing the enabling environment for peaceful coexistence that exists in the State.

The Onogie highlighted the administration’s efforts in security, and appealed for collaboration with security agencies to curb crimes.

He lauded the approval for the construction of the International Airport, saying it would boost the State’s economy and attract investments.

He also commended the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Gambo Maikarfi, for promoting peace in Lokoja, pointing out that his reign has created an enabling environment for residents of Lokoja, irrespective of tribe, to live in harmony.

Also Speaking, the Ape-Evho-Okhai, Chief Joseph Bello, and the Chairman of Afemai Progressives Union, Abu Michael, praised the Onogie’s leadership, saying it has united Afemai people and created opportunities.

They pledged continued support for the State Government, describing it as people-centric, a feat that has seen Afemai People in all works of life living in peace and prosperity.
