2027 is a year of another General election, though some say far, yet others say in politics it is near.
It is no longer news that Nigerian Politicians have begun subtle meetings to position themselves ahead the election year with advocacy and consultation.
This pattern is now becoming the order of the day even in Ankpa Federal Constituency of Kogi State as the argument for who returns, gets what and who gets what comes from has been heightened.
For now, Ankpa Federal Constituency in the opinion of many holds a vantage position in the nation’s politics. This is the reason why many say they are looking beyond the norm as presently obtained, pointing out that there is already a lack of idea, and like the African adage, ” staying too long on the excreta’, comes with consequences.
Ankpa Federal Constituency is very rich in terms of solid political team. One name that has remained a reoccurring decimal in public discussion is Hon. Umar Yahaya, Member representing Omala State Constituency in the State Assembly.
Majority are insisting that his trajectory and superlative performance in his private and political life makes him to be so eminently qualified to run and offer quality representation going by his trajectory.
A look at the antecedents and capabilities of Hon. Yahaya Umar will point to the fact that his name has been synonymous with development, empowerment, with his attraction of several massive infrastructure to his constituents, before even his representation as one individual who can hold his own.
Hon. Umar. Yahaya, Member Representing Omala State Constituency in the House of Assembly, remains a winning factor. Young and ebulliently vantage. With a grassroots development empowerment, is loved by all, seems to have however broken the ranks of the APC power brokers at the level of the Federal Constituency as a way for him to go forward.
For many who knew Hon. Umar, he is a man of capacious intellect and achievements thus far amongst political actors ever produced by Omalites.
Thus far, his political history shows that he does not blunder into projects and programs without wide consultation and critical thinking. For now, Hon. Umar, amongst many that are being mentioned, holds an ace.
Widely accepted amongst political actors irrespective of political party affiliation, various Union, Youths and Women Groups, everything seem seem to be looking in his direction. This however is if finally accepts to offer himself to run in 2027.
For now Ankpa Federal Constituency deserves a better position, that will come with the likes of Hon. Umar. This can however be made possible if the interest of the area comes top in the minds of development seekers from the Constituency.
For a man who is known to have executed his activities in his private business and brought it into politics. The several awards that Hon. Umar earned as the most outstanding Lawmaker in the current state assembly is not a fluke. It is a product of good thinking.
Very meticulous, operates with the precision of calibration, all eyes is on Hon. Umar, said to be a connecting factor that will position Ankpa Federal Constituency for good if and when he accept the offer to serve.
