NIPR Kogi State Chapter Calls on Journalists, PR officers to Join Institute

 

In a significant development, the Interim Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Kogi State Chapter, Ismaila Isah, has called on practicing Journalists in the State and all Public Relations Officers operating in the State to take advantage of the ongoing repositioning of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations to enroll as members.

This is as the Isah announced a 12-member interim team to spearhead the revival of the chapter.

The NIPR Chairman said as first line Public Relations Officers, it behooves on Journalist and Public Relations Officers to join the institute.

He disclosed of efforts to secure waiver for the interest members to get registered into the institutes during the March induction and ahead the composition of the State Chapter of the Institute.

The interim team to run the affairs of the NIPR is comprising professionals from diverse backgrounds, will lead the engagement with the national executive council ahead of the conduct of a chapter election in March 2026.

The announcement was made in a letter addressed to professional colleagues, expressing gratitude for their interest in reviving the chapter. The interim team includes:

1. Chairman: Ismaila Isah
2. Vice Chairman: Tade Oshaloto
3. Secretary: Mike Abuh
4. Assistant Secretary/ICT Officer: Yabagi Mohammed
5. Public Relations Officer: Bishop Aturu
6. Welfare Officer: Nwankwo Daniel
7. Treasurer: Yemi Balogun
8. Financial Secretary: Khadijat Abubakar
9. Internal Auditor: Tairu Momoh

Ex-Officio Members:

1. Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim
2. Chief Emmanuel Bello
3. Chief Austyn Ochu

The team is expected to work closely with members to ensure a successful visit by the national executive council in March 2026, marking the official restart of the chapter’s activities after a period of inactivity.
