
VC Inaugurates Strategic Communication Directorate

Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, has launched the Directorate of Strategic Communication and Corporate Documentation (DSCCD), a key initiative aimed at enhancing the institution’s communication systems and preserving its corporate heritage.
The inauguration highlights the University’s commitment to professionalizing its communication systems and showcasing its achievements to stakeholders. Professor Ibileye emphasized the importance of strategic communication in modern university administration, citing its role in promoting excellence in teaching, research, and community service.
Dr. Tósìn Ọlágúnjú, appointed as the pioneer Director of DSCCD, pledged to deploy innovative approaches to advance the Directorate’s mandate. The Directorate’s team includes Mr. Chris Yahaya, Dr. Simon Sheyigari, Dr. Baba Isaac Ibrahim, and Mr. Daniel Ikechukwu Nwankwo, who will work together to promote the University’s achievements and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
The inauguration represents a significant step towards aligning communication practice with the University’s strategic objectives, enhancing transparency, and elevating its national and international visibility.
