Commissioner Gegu Pledges Support for Koton Karfe Woman’s Spinal Cord Treatment
In his commitment to Service to Humanity, Engr. Bashiru Gegu, Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, has promised to undertake the treatment of Mallama Maimunat Mahmud from Koton Karfe who has been battling with her spinal cord challenge.
It was a dream come true for Mallama Maimunat Mahmud from Koton Karfe when she finally met her helper today.
Earlier today, Mallama Maimunat Mahmud was at the residence of Chief Abubakar Bashir Gegu to seek financial assistance for her treatment.
But to her surprise, the People’s Commissioner made an initial support of 300 thousand naira to commence treatment at any hospital and promised to take over treatment as Mallama Maimunat continues to respond to treatments.
The treatment according to the Commissioner will include seeing her get back on her feet.
He disclosed that the essence of service is to put smiles on the faces of people who look up to you.
He disclosed that the present administration of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo is doing so much in bringing smiles upon faces of people, said as an ambassador of the Governor, behoove on him to do the little he can.
He assured that as resource permit, he will continue to represent the people well, described his strength in doing good as one derived from the Almighty.
