Dele Momodu Join ADC In Edo

The ranks of the Edo State chapter of the coalition opposition party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expanded on Thursday as the former presidential aspirant in the 2024 general election under the Peoples Democratic party and the publisher of the Ovation Magazine,
Dele Momodu joined the ADC with many of his followers drawn from the 18 local government areas of the state.
At a colourful reception organised for the politician at the ADC Edo State secretariat along Ogbelaka Street in Benin City, Dele Momodu picked the party membership card.
Dele Momodu who gave a brief background about his journey from birth to adult said, immediately after picking his ADC membership card, that he decided to join the folds of the coalition party because of people with a light mind.
According to him, I am not interested in becoming a governor or any elected position but just interested in joining people who I believe can rescue the country.
He said “Nigerians are tired. Unemployment is on the rise and the Naira has fallen in value. I have found a credible alternative and that alternative is the ADC.
“I am here to join the ADC. It will take us to the promised land. We are all Nigerians. Nobody can threaten anybody. We want to make Nigeria and Edo better than we met them. I am calling all Nigerians to come on board. I am ready to lead the battle for change,” he reassured his supporters.
Receiving Dele Momodu, Edo State Chairman of ADC, Mr. Kennedy Odion, said there would be no sitting on the fence ahead of 2027.
Odion, who hinted that the coalition was not under any illusion that the 2027 journey would not be “tough and rough”, expressed optimism that with politicians in the mould of Dele Momodu joining the coalition, the chances of the party in the next general election remained bright.
Among those national leaders of the party were Chief Odigie Oyegun, Senator Yisa Braimoh and Senator Roland Oweh.
