We Will Continue To Defend The Great Benin Throne With Our Blood; Says Edo Youth

A Socio Cultural group, Edo Youth, (EY), has warned those who insult or throw unholy words against the sacred great Benin Throne will be punished without fear or favour.
The group in a statement signed by
Mr. Iyamu Osaro Culture-President, AIGUOBASINMWIN MOVEMENT WORLD-WIDE and Mr. Uwadiae Iyoha- President, OTEDO YOUTH UNION, warned that anyone who disrespect the Benin Throne is automatically an enemy of the kingdom.
They stated that, “We, the foot soldiers of the great Benin Kingdom, wish to state this without apology or fear that the great Benin Throne is sacred and must never be insulted.
“In Benin land, anyone who insults their parents is seen as acting in madness. Such behaviour is not debated, excused, or tolerated. It is rejected outrightly by the people.
“The same law of culture applies—without exception—to anyone who opens their mouth to insult or ridicule the great BENIN THRONE. This is not politics. This is not noise. This is heritage, ancestry, and identity.
” The Benin people do not wait for permission—formal or informal—to condemn disrespect against what is holy to them. Disrespect to the great Benin Throne is a sacrilege and disrespect to the people, the ancestors, and the land itself.
“Let it be clearly understood that
Benin people do not tolerate reckless words, loose tongues, or cultural arrogance.
“Anyone who crosses this line will meet the full rejection and resistance of the Benin people.
Choose wisdom. Choose respect.
The great Benin Throne stands untouchable.
