Birthday Anniversary; Kogi Finance commissioner celebrates Engr Bashir Gegu, describes him as a people-centric leader
The honourable commissioner of Finance, budget and economic planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA has expressed a heartwarming message felicitation to a proud son of koto karfe and a dedicated public servant, Engr Bashir Gegu on the auspicious occasion of his birthday anniversary, today 18th August 2025.
In the birthday message released through his media assistant and personally signed, Asiwaju extolled the celebrant as an exemplar of selfless service, grassroot ambassador, courageous democrat, purveyor of community development and a core progressive whose ideology is to give humanity preference and pride of place.
He said that Engr Bashir Gegu is a man of honour and a dependable ally whose democratic and public office credentials is not only profound, it has been a beacon of succor to the despondent, hope to the hopeless and a source of development to his immediate community and state in general.
In his words “Engr Bashir Gegu is a worthy brother, friend and a colleague at the state executive council. His contribution to the state development plan through his solid minerals ministry is commendable and his grassroots penetration has added immense value to the rank of the progressive party. Jovial, charismatic, dedicated, generous and result oriented”.
