The Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA has sent his heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, GSSRS on the auspicious occasion of his 7 years in office as the Executive Governor of Kogi state, saying it has been a journey with records of remarkable milestones.
Asiwaju in his congratulatory message, discribed Governor Yahaya Bello as a change maker and an architect of mordern Kogi who has engendered unprecedented reforms, projects and programmes that comes with consequential landmark effect on the socio-economic and political landscape of the state. His providential emergence and the benefits accrue 7 years down the line, lay credence to the fact that he’s God sent at a time like this.
The Honourable Commissioner harps on the modest achievements of the state in terms of fiscal transparency, Accountability, debt sustainability ratio and revenue mobilisation, which has earned the state awards from world Bank SFTAS programme, saying they are successes hinged on the exemplary, purposeful and people oriented leadership of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello. Like the Governor promised during his inauguration and always emphasised , that the resources of Kogites will be well utilised for their common good. Evidently, Kogi state and kogites are now better than we met it, Mukadam stated.
In his words “Without any gainsaying, the confluence state under His Excellency has leapfrogged from it formal unimpressive state to one of the fastest developing amongst the federating units. Kogi state is now Peaceful and united than ever before in her history because of the Liberal and humane leader at the helms. The gory indices of insecurity has been largely curbed because we have a security czar in our him. Today, kogi state is now a cynosure of all eyes because of the breath of fresh air exuded by His Excellency”.
“Your exceptional leadership that births shining results in the areas of Education, Health, Infrastructural development, Security and respite for traditional institution earned the state a landmark and historic visit of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR to commission legacy projects spread across the state. With your arrays of achievements, you have proved the naysayers and enemy of the state wrong, that with a heart of genuine service and audacity to interrogate the status quo, nothing is Impossible”
