7 Years Anniversary: We Have Worked assiduously to fulfill mandate Kogi people enthusiastically entrusted on Us twice – Gov. Yahaya Bello

Gov. Yahaya Bello says his administration has worked assiduously to fulfill the mandate the people of Kogi State have so enthusiastically entrusted to him twice.

The Governor stated this at an address at the new Direction Administration’s 7th Anniversary, said the administration has executed life-transforming projects across the length and breadth of the State – from City to Town to Villages, even Hamlets.

Gov. Bello expressed satisfaction that the achievements were achieved at a time when the Naira has been steadily contracting in real value and supply, was upbeat that his Administration can boast of an array of projects numbering in their thousands.

Gov. Bello explained that many of the projects embarked upon by his administration have been completed, while many more are racing to completion.

The projects the Governor explained includes hundreds of primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare and educational institutions which the administration has built from scratch or substantially reconstructed.

” Others are brand new infrastructure and utilities that cut across all sectors which we designed and built to improve the lives of our people in both urban and rural areas”.

The Governor noted that his administration had with the fear of God and love for the land, people in his heart, given the assurances that the past of backwardness and underdevelopment in the State was over, said since his inauguration, his administration has overseen an accelerated and proportional transformation of the State through innovative thinking and prudent management of all resources – human, financial, material and natural.

Gov Bello noted also that with every sense of responsibility his administration has been able to recalibrate attitudes to the point that Kogi state as at today is more secured, united and peaceful than at any other time since her creation.

Gov. Bello listed the Reference Hospital, Okene which houses both an MRI Centre and Nigeria’s first hyperbaric treatment facility which are of national, even continental, significance.

The Governor mentioned Ganaja Flyover and Interchange at Lokoja, the first, but certainly not going to be the last, in Kogi State as some major achievements of his administration.

Other projects he explained include the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, the Confluence Rice Mill, Ejiba, the GYB Model Science Secondary Schools, the Muhammadu Buhari Square (Civic Centre) at Lokoja, hundreds of kilometres of urban and rural roads, innumerable water supply schemes, a state universal healthcare insurance scheme and simply uncountable number of projects sited everywhere across the State.

Gov. Bello thanked the great People of Kogi State for their trust and support from inception till date, assured that the next one year is going to be hectic as the administration intends to multiply geometrically in creativity, innovation and productivity.
