
4 First-Class Graduates, 2 Honorary Doctorates As Salem University Lokoja Sets to Hold 7th Convocation.

Salem University Lokoja is set to confer degrees on 168 students at its 7th Convocation ceremony on November 21, 2025.
Four Students have earned first-class honors, while Dr. Ogwu Onoja SAN and Justice Stephen Adah will receive honorary Doctorate Degrees.
According to Professor Alewo Johnson Akubo, Vice Chancellor of Salem University, the institution has made significant strides in nurturing global leaders who excel academically and are morally upright.
Prof. Akubo made the disclosure at a pre-convocation press briefing ahead the institution’s 7th convocation ceremony.
He said the university has invested in modern infrastructure, including state-of-the-art buildings for Anatomy and Physiology Departments, and has received approval to commence the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program.
The University he added has also secured approval for Postgraduate Diploma, Masters, and Doctoral programs in various fields and plans to introduce Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, and Environmental Science programs.
Akubo appealed to the State Governor, Alhaji Ahmad Usman Ododo, and Members of the State cabinet to support the University’s growth and development.
