The Honourable Commissioner for Works and Housing, *Engr Abubakar Ohere, FNSE* has extended his kind gesture in fulfilment of his love and passion for education to the following representatives and their schools.
(1) Esther Itopa: Harmony Secondary School, lokoja
(2) Hassan Mustapha: Asco Comprehensive Secondary School 1 Ajaokuta
(3) Adagiri John of Army Day Secondary School, Lokoja
This is to encourage and motivate the students in order to continuously enhance excellence in the state Educational system. This gesture was in commemoration of the 2021 edition for the 3 finalists of PAAYEF Inter-school Competition to benefit from Ohere Educational Outreach.
He said, being a part of the project (enhancing Educational development) through Ohere Educational Outreach, his urge to support young and vibrant students at every giving opportunity is always high.
Engr. Ohere noted that His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello administration would continue to improve on the condition of service of the teachers and the Students in order to ensure that all schools in the state have qualified and highly motivated students.
He reiterated the commitment of this administration to the provision of needed technological tools to enhance digital literacy, which would allow teachers and students to cope with the alternative platform anchored on technology.
He maintained that despite the need for technology to support teaching and learning, there was a need for more human and student-centred approaches to the use of technology and artificial intelligence in education.
Engr. Ohere affirmed that, this PAAYEF Inter-school Competition, in its different presentations, lauded the *Governor Yahaya Bello* administration for its huge investment in the education sector, he commended the organisers of this great event for putting up this wonderful Inter-school competition.
