According to political analysts, Senator Karimi has continued to build an extensive political network across the seven local government areas of Kogi West through sustained engagement with constituents, community development initiatives, legislative representation, and continuous interaction with traditional institutions, religious bodies, youth organizations, women groups, and party stakeholders. Speaking on the political outlook of the forthcoming elections, Comrade Olorunhudo Samuel Taiwo noted that Senator Sunday Steve Karimi possesses the political capacity, experience, and grassroots appeal required to mobilize voters in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid while also ensuring victories for other APC candidates contesting various elective positions.
He explained that elections are won through effective grassroots organization, public confidence, and sustained political engagement rather than mere political rhetoric. According to him, Senator Karimi has consistently demonstrated these qualities throughout his political career, making him one of the most influential political figures in Kogi West.
