2027: Making QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, Pathfinder for Kogi East Emancipation.

These words on the marble by one of the greatest legends that the world has had is apt in the present situation of the people from the Eastern Zone of Kogi State. It is not the best of socio political and economic lives for Kogi State East either owing to misplaced representation by past representatives.
Kogi East district is undergoing heamorhage. The district is bleeding. It is crying for revival. The question is who will stand in the gap.
The centre has failed to hold and anarchy has overtaken the entire fabrics of the Zone. Those who are supposed to intervene in giving a direction have taken a flight out of the district’s conversation.
The Igala Nàtion, with overwhelming majority in Kogi and one that once dominated National discuss is now a shadow of itself.
A supposed major player that has now been relegated owing to poor representation. The sad tale must not continue. The time to turn the table is now. Enough is enough!
Kogi East has been reduced to hewers of woods and fetchers of water. Igala with over two millions population, a geographical land mass of almost the half of the state has been reduced to a second class fiddle in National discuss. Yes we got it wrong, time to change the narratives has come.
Kogi East is left in limbo. The Igala nation have cried over unhealthy representation for too long and nobody seems to hear them. Those who should speak truth to power have washed their hands off Igala affairs. A once vibrant zone with intelligent and intellectual youths, turned tugs, must rise to the occasion.
The Igala Nation had in time past produced in successions three former governors, National party Chairman and great players of political and economic lives of the nation. Alas, today, they have returned to their cocoon. The embarrassing situation is none of anybody’s business. But strategic positioning and reasoning, can turn the tides in our favor. It is better late than never.
The Igala Nàtion is in disarray. It is worrisome that no known leader is ready and willing to galvanize and spur the people to take action. But there is light at the end of the tunnel with men of goodwill, like QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman.
Over the years, the East have refused to organise there people. We must begin to think and prepare for the next election that will reshape the political and economic destiny of the Zone with a voice that is Nationalistic, patriotic and a bridge, capable of uniting our people.
The lethargy of our leaders have made the masses to ask God to send back the Late Stephen Omakoji Achema to redeem the people. Although it is impossible for him to return from the other world. The people seem to have however search inward, and they are convinced that although Late Achema’s match may be hard to find, one person who in the conviction of the generality of the people to take over the mantle is no other person than Alhaji Aminu Suleiman Abubakar in uniting the people.
Aminu Suleiman Abubakar, a Quantity Surveyor of International repute and a politician is unarguably the man with the capacity, compassion competency, credibility and charisma that can salvage the Igala Nation and Kogi East in general from its present predicament.
Although, he contested the last gubernatorial election, the everybody must contest syndrome could not bring the best out of him and in the end, the Igala nation lost with their multitude of aspirants.
Aminu, a renown public private partnership guru has initiated, managed countless projects that have immense value to the nation. Infact, other ethnic Nation wished they could have a wonderful personality in his mould.
Qs Aminu has all that is required to bail Kogi East out of the quagmire it find itself. He has the connections, he has the resources and political network that cuts across the length and breath of the Igala Kingdom and other zones that have goodwill for the Kogi East cause.
What we need at this time of our political crossroads is to take stock of why we are where we are and what should be done to return Kogi East to relevance National politics of Wiseman in the National Assembly.
As a people, the clarion call is that we must forge common fronts in choosing who have the pedigree to represent us well in the coming 2027 Senate election.
We should discourage multitude of aspirants who will end up as spoilers and transactional contestants. We should come out with our only best, which today lies squarely on the shoulders of Alhaji Aminu Abubakar amongst those that are being mentioned.
No where in the world is Power gotten on the platter of gold but through systematic planning and execution of programmes and support for Qs Aminu a man who has the propensity to hold his own. Without fear or favour, we can once again bounce back to limelight.
The East has became a ship without a rudder and so we have to capsize.
Without mincing worlds, let us in earnest begin to have conversations and support Aminu Abubakar Suleiman to throw up himself for project Kogi East of our dream. By all indicators, he is emotionally, physically and intellectually prepared for the task ahead.
Let all the youth groups, Igala professionals, politicians of all shades, leadership of thoughts and captains of industry’s come out and be identified with Alhaji Aminu Abubakar with the sole aim to motivate him to take up the greater challenge.
We should forget about ego and rivalry, begin to chart a way forward for a zone that was once the determinants of where the political pendulum swings to in Kogi State and Nigeria.
We have done it before, when the late Dr. Steven Omakoji Achema gave instructions for all Igala sons and daughters irrespective of party affiliations to queue behind late Prince Abubakar Audu. Let’s start with Qs Aminu in the 2027 permutations.
Although, Achema is no longer with us today, it is our plea for those of goodwill to come out to give direction to our people to stand with Aminu Suleiman in our quest to return Kogi East to reckoning in the National Assembly where in 2027, nation’s will be parading their best.
It is possible if we collectively have seen our flaws. We can do it and we call on every one to consider the “project Kogi East a collective project as his or her own, using Alhaji Aminu Abubakar Suleiman as the rallying point in the 2027 Senatorial election”.
