By joshua 2027 APC House of Representatives Candidate Urges Nigerian Youths to Take Leadership Roles

The House of Representatives candidate for Kaugama/Malam Madori Federal Constituency of Jigawa State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 National Assembly elections, Hon. Umar Saidu Jambola, has called on Nigerian youths to form a strong, united, and unbreakable front toward taking over the leadership of the country in the 2027 elections.
Hon. Umar stated that for Nigeria to achieve its aspirations and earn greater respect among the comity of nations, there is a need to recruit young, energetic, competent, and visionary Nigerians into leadership positions.
He attributed the country’s poor governance and leadership challenges to the dominance of aging, weak, and mentally exhausted individuals in positions of authority, arguing that many have little to offer toward Nigeria’s progress and transformation.
According to him, governing a country as complex as Nigeria requires strength, energy, vitality, mental fortitude, and alertness. He lamented that Nigeria has not been fortunate to have sufficient young leaders at various levels of government in recent times, a situation he said has contributed to leadership deficits and poor governance.
Hon. Umar cited former United States President Barack Obama, who assumed office at the age of 47, as an example of youthful and impactful leadership. He noted that Obama’s influence extended beyond the United States and was felt globally. He also pointed to French President Emmanuel Macron as a leader who continues to demonstrate the energy and mental capacity required for effective governance.
The APC House of Representatives candidate made these remarks in an exclusive interview with our correspondent during the 1st National Conference organized by the National Youth Stakeholders Forum Nigeria (NYSFN) to commemorate the 2027 Democracy Day celebration.
The event was held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Nigeria National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja, under the theme: “The Future of Nigerian Youths and Expectations from Political Leaders: Demanding Accountability, Inclusion, and Sustainable Development Ahead of the 2027 Elections.”
Hon. Umar Saidu further urged Nigerian youths to remain law-abiding, patriotic, and loyal to the Federal Republic of Nigeria while working collectively toward the establishment of an egalitarian society built on justice, accountability, and sustainable development.
