2027: Anyichuks Wins PDP Governorship Primary Election In Ebonyi

Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, popularly known as Anyichuks has been declared the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary in Ebonyi State.
The exercise was conducted across the 13 local government areas and monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Dr. Lekon Rotimi, Chairman of the electoral committee who conducted the primary, declared Odii the winner unopposed at the party’s collation center in Abakaliki.
Rotimi said Odii polled a total of 8,281 votes to emerge as the party’s consensus candidate.
According to him“I am glad to announce that from the 13 local government areas of the state, we recorded a total of 8,281 votes for the sole candidate of the PDP,” he said. “After carefully collating and verifying all the results from the local governments, I, the returning officer for this election, hereby declare the outcome and congratulate the winner. I therefore declare Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii as the winner of this governorship primary.”
State PDP Chairman Chukwuma Igwe described the exercise as peaceful.
“We conducted all our primaries by consensus because PDP is a peaceful family in Ebonyi State,” Igwe said. “We always lead the way, and everybody knows where PDP stands. The time of locusts is over. Today, we completed our primary process from the ward to the local government level.”
Addressing supporters at the collation center, Odii commended the peaceful conduct of the primary and urged members to enthrone good governance in the state. He accused the current administration of running the state like a personal family business and said he was in the 2027 race to liberate Ebonyi.
“Ebonyi can never be consumed, conquered, or turned into a personal family business. We are here to rescue our state,” Odii said. “I don’t need praise or applause. What matters is the task ahead: recovering Ebonyi for development. It is time to deliver governance that benefits our children, civil servants, teachers, and the economy. That is why I have made myself available under the PDP platform.
“Ebonyi will never go back to darkness. I am not afraid of their gathering or what the future brings. What I want is the happiness of Ebonyi State, and that time is now.” he concluded
