
As politicians continue to intensify campaign for the 2023 general elections in the country, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Yahaya Bello , office of the First Lady of Kogi State, Honourable Sandra Mimi Musa has appealed to voters in the Central Senatorial District and Ajaokuta Local Government of the State to vote Engineer Abubakar Saddiq Ohere to represent them in the Senate.

This is coming just as she stated that the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mrs. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan was not an option for the good people of central Senatorial District.
Engr. Ohere who is the Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is expected to square up with Akpoti-Uduaghan in a two course race to the red chambers.
Addressing residents of Ajaokuta LG, during an empowerment programme recently Organized by her, Musa urged voters to shun those whom she referred to as divisive and seasonal politicians and embrace ‘People’s emancipator and home based ‘ gladiators.
She described Gov. Yahaya Bello as a mentor and a model of leadership to the present and incoming generations, saying Kogi is blessed having governor Bello as a Leader at this critical period.
She said the governor has set a standard to be Emulated by all in the state.
She declared that the governor mandated all his appointees to always reach out to their people by empowering the less privileges in the society all time.
The occasion provided an avenue for her to reach out to women, widows and youth as well as other vulnerable segments of the population by providing for them food items, Rices, Clothes, Cash and things that guarantee their daily living. Over 200 persons benefitted from the empowerment programme.
She stated that the call became pertinent if Kogi Central Senatorial District, is to ensure any form of progress and development as laid by governor Bello.
“I am urging our people here in the Central Senatorial District to shun politicians who only come home during election and vote for those who live and stay here with us.
“This is because those who live and stay here with us knows our problems and how to address them,” she said.
She added that the election of Ohere alongside that of the APC’s Presidential Candidate, House of Representative and House of Assembly for Ajaokuta Federal Constituency and Local Government, will facilitate the development of the area.
“As I urge you to vote our Brother, Father and Friend Engineer Abubakar Ohere, I also implore you to vote for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Alhaji Rahimi Sanni Hon Jibril Abu and all APC candidates across the State. With APC in government, all our developmental needs and aspirations will no doubt be met,” she added.
Speaking at the event, the guest speaker at the occasion Hajiya Mariam Abedo who is the state Director General of Pension commended Gov. Bello for his untiring efforts in the progress and development of the state. She appealed to the people of Ajaokuta LGA and Central Senatorial district to come out in masse and Vote APC in 2023 as a sign of appreciation to the governor for his performance in the last seven years, also no one should device you that she alone can revive Ajaokuta Steel Company, His Excellency has gone far concerning the issue of ASCL and Insha’Allah it will soon be a beautiful story.
