2023: Let Competence, Capacity not zoning determine Nigeria’s next President – Barr. Zaccheaus Dare Michael

Nigerians have been charged to consider competence and the capacity to move the country forward as the yardstick for who becomes the country’s President in 2023.

The Convener for Congress for Better Nigeria, Barr. Zaccheaus Dare Michael, made the disclosure against the rumour making the rounds of attempted zoning of the nation’s Presidency, pointed out that Zoning has not helped the country in its March to prosperity and development.

Barr. Dare vehemently opposed to the mortgaging of the destinies of Nigerians, insisting that what should be paramount priority in the minds of think tanks and critical stakeholders, should be competence and Capacity to deliver.

He particularly observed that the North Central Zone of Nigeria has unfortunately not produced an elected President or a Vice President, described Gov. Yahaya Bello as an absolute requirement to salvage Nigeria from the woods with his outstanding credentials.

He cited the Gov. Yahaya Bello’s efforts in uniting the country, his laudable accomplishments in Youths and Women Empowerment, outstanding performances in security and Agricultural transformation in the State as prerequisites that stands him out as having the best requirements to lead Nigeria.

He called on the critical stakeholders and think tanks of the entire country to think more about having a President that can unite the country with the right competence and Capacity as the criteria for the nation’s President without recourse to mundane sentiments in the generality of Nigerians.

Barr. Dare urged Nigerians to see 2023 as another defining moment to make the right decision in who leads the country to the promise land and not about having a President from a particular region, described zoning as archaic and retarding growth and development.

Barr. Dare listed the uncommon credentials of Gov. Yahaya Bello in having the ability to unite the various religious segments of the state as reason why he should be supported to deal with the vexed issue of religion that has been a set back to Nigeria.

While noting that religion has caused major setbacks and untold hardship to the Nigerian State, Barr Dare, described Gov. Bello as having dealt a big blow to religious dichotomy in Kogi State, assuring that he has the magic wand to deal with the same issues in the country.

Barr. Dare disclosed that all the Civil Society, Youths, Religious and Women Organization’s, stand on the Gov. Yahaya Bello’s Presidential aspiration, assuring that it it a battle of no surrender.
