Ahead the Kogi State 2023 Governorship election, a Political Pressure Group , ” The Progressive Renaissance”, have started drumming support for Barr. Mohammed Kabiru Usman, to join the race.
The group in the Peoples Democratic Party, in a press statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja, signed by Mr. Friday Okoliko Jamiu, described Barr. Usman, PDP former National legal Adviser in 2016, as a thorough breed party man who has an understanding and workings of the Peoples Democratic Party, said he has all it takes to move the State forward.
The Group called on the former Legal Adviser of the PDP to throw his hat into the ring, assuring him of the maximum support needed to run the race, insisting that his understanding of the State, the people and idiosyncrasies puts him ahead others.
The Progressive Renaissance is a Political Pressure Group made up of Members from across the three Senatorial Districts of the State, urged Barr. Kabiru Usman to inview of his detribalized personality, a bridge builder, experience in leadership and politics, accept the call to run for the coming Governorship seat in the State.
Born in 1966, Barr. Mohammed Kabiru Usman attended RCM Primary school, Ankpa 1972 – 1977 and St Charles College, Ankpa 1977- 1982.

Barr. Usman Kabiru has served as Principal Partner and Head of Practice, Deluxe Chambers from 2000 to date.
Barr. Kabiru Usman has equally held many political party positions. He was the Zonal Legal Adviser, PDP North Central, 2008 – 2014 and
PDP National legal Adviser in 2016.
