As the 2023 presidential election comes close, a group known as Volunteer for Ahmed Bola Tinubu 2023, at the weekend was inaugurated in Edo state.
Speaking during the inauguration of the group, the chairman of the occasion, Hon Rasaq Bello-Osagie, said the group is out to ensure that the two-time former Governor of Lagos, Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) come 2023.
“Tinubu is the right person to become president come 2023, among those talking about presidency in 2023. Tinubu is the most qualified and his supporters is all over the country”
“Tinubu was the governor of Lagos state between 1999 and 2007 and since the no corruption case pointing to him and he is not coming to enrich himself to work for the country and make it better”
While charging the group to spread the gospel of Tinubu’s presidency to Nigerians, he said they are committed to ensuring its actualisation.
Earlier, Racliff Atari, a volunteer from Rivers State urged politicians to move away from the traditional ways of campaigns from criticism to issues based
Also speaking, former Dean, School of Business Studies, Auchi Polytechnic, Nigerians irrespective of political divides, Nigerians wanted Tinubu as president.
“The 2023 election is not about political party but about individual. Tinubu is a politicians whose performance as former governor of Lagos state speak well for him”.
He said Lagos state today has become the role model for other state in terms of development because of Tinubu’s foundation, road map and blueprint.
He said the group is made of people of like minds who want Tinubu’s to be president in 2023.
